• First ent’ship study faculty-student differences (6 countries)–intrinsic motives/barriers need attention, faculty underest. student ent. interest
• First 4-country study gender, perceptions, intentions–men/women differ, education neglects self-confidence, women perhaps better suited to ent’ship
• First Afghan study of student ent’ship beliefs/intentions
• First application stockholder-stakeholder theories to b-school/university governance
• First integration of franchising + sharecropping research–complex life-cycle theory of share relationships
• First application of learning curves to innovation process–strategic choices about competition, innovation + production affect what/where/how firms learn

Workshops

• Start-up workshops—with colleague, designed and delivered (9 times) a 3-workshop series to hundreds of nascent businesses.
• Patents: Sunny skies & shipwrecks. Designed/led workshop on patent data uses, USASBE, Los Angeles 2018.
• We’ll always have Paris: Using movies in class.  Designed/led roundtable, USASBE, Tampa 2015.
• Prize winner: Creativity exercise entry in Spark! teaching tools competition, USASBE, Tampa 2015.
• Educating managers about integrity + corruption.  Prof.  dev. workshop (with C. Wankel + A. Stachowicz).  Academy of Management, San Antonio 2011.
• Spark Your Creativity—designed/led workshop at Blue Ridge Entrepreneurial Council, Asheville 2009.
• First-ever business faculty on society program:    How to prepare music students to find + create jobs.  College Music Society, Croatia, 2009.  Withdrew due no department travel funding.
